This week, I have had the pleasure of being invited to look around the new build and refurbished Park Farm Home rental and just wow at all they have to offer.
Tucked away in Stow-On-The-Wold surrounded by views of the Cotswolds and beyond this beautiful country home is available to rent and the owner Sally and her daughter gave me the grand tour.
The charming hall leads to a magnificent kitchen with amazing views of the Cotswold scenery, it is definitely the perfect setting for breakfast with a large pine dining table. It is here where Sally and Molly offer me Simon Weaver Cheese & some wine, don’t mind if I do after all great cheese.
We start talking and Molly shows me around, the house with five bedrooms that sleeps, 10 and a room they call the snug that homes a sofa bed so you could potentially sleep, 12 people. Perfect for a large family or a group.
Each room has crisp fresh white linen that is all included during your stay and Molly explains how fun it was finding the little features for the rooms, whether it was the cushions and lampshades or the pop of colour accessories. The rooms are quite large, something I have not experienced on cottage rentals, however, they are still cosy and again the views do not disappoint.
Every small detail has been thought of even complimentary soaps and shower gel of high quality, Sally has not missed a trick.
The family have further holiday cottages further down from Park Farm and when this land came available they snapped it up for this blissful retreat, surrounded by their different breeds of cattle you get a great sense of the countryside here.
You can cosy up in front of the log fire in the characteristic lounge and enjoy Freesat, WiFi and even a PlayStation to keep the kids quiet (well maybe). It has comfortable sofas for snuggles whilst reading.
Once outside there is a large patio area where you can BBQ in the summer months and even wrap up to watch the stars, with a long private driveway you cannot get much more privacy.
Aside from the gorgeous surroundings, Sally and her family are so welcoming and what they have done here to create a haven is superb, even though we are local to Park Farm, I am considering booking for a family Christmas. I highly recommend Park Farm for a peaceful holiday retreat. Good Luck guys with 2018 and we hope to visit you again.
